I hope everyone has been enjoying the gorgeous weather we've been having lately. I know I have! My beautiful trees are starting to wake up and I'm beyond thrilled.
My favorite bloom so far as been from our baby peach tree. I mean seriously, how pretty are these pink blossoms? And to think, we'll have delicious sweet fruit after this as well ... I'm so excited for our harvest this summer (fingers crossed).
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to our local playground to enjoy this breath of fresh air with our resident Kindergartner.
If you remember my last few posts, you'll know there have been two topics lately on my mind ... my Green piggies and Doctor Who. I'm not sure which came first, but after BB's birthday party I found myself playing around with some of the left over green fondant and making even more pigs. Since I already recreated the stuffed pigs BB owns, I decided to have a little fun and make my own this time ... which evolved into themed pigs, specifically Doctor Who piggies. And good Lord, these were so fun to make!
I made the most recent 3 Doctors, plus some of the key players (mostly ladies, but you're there too Rory!). Here's where the latest reincarnation of Doctor Who started ... the 9th Doctor and Rose Tyler.
Oh Rose, you're one of my favorite of the Doctor's companions. You helped start it all again and you were just a regular gal he found when you were minding your own business when the Doctor saved you from being attacked by mannequins in the basement at work.
And then you had to leave which I was one of the first reasons I stopped watching the reboot the first time around and I am truly sorry, 'cause you totally rock, Tennant! (Side note: I couldn't get over the fact that he played Barty Crouch but over it now).
And when you parted ways? Heart. Breaking. Ugh, truly it was. But we know how that all ends ... Then you met some new friends and I have to say my tie at the best companion is most assuredly Donna Noble. Sorry, Martha, you have a special place in my heart too but you left so that knocks you straight down to the bottom of the pile unfortch.
Oh Pond, you really did a number on 11 at the end of The Angels Take Manhattan, but was there any other way? And dear River, oh man I can't wait to see how you interact with Clara (who I have not pigified yet, mea culpa) if you two ever meet this season. And Matt, you really do a bang up job as the Doctor.
If you're reading this and haven't seen any of the "new" Doctor Who episodes, my only question is ... what are you waiting for?! I hope my fellow Whovians have enjoyed my Doctor Pig mashup and rest assured, there is more where this came from whether you're ready or not, lol.
