Oh the feels!  By now, I think mostly everyone has seen the latest and greatest Doctor Who - The Time Of The Doctor.  It was the end for our 11, the lovely Matt Smith.  Oh Matt, I wasn't sure that I would love you and your delicate eyebrows but I did and I loved ya somethin' fierce right until the end!  While it wasn't necessarily my #1 Matt Smith episode, it was still a keeper and there were a number of quotable lines.  Here are my favs: 

Clara's Gran: “I wanted everything to stop. I wanted nothing to change ever again. If he could just keep standing there, so beautiful ... That’s when I knew of course.”

The Doctor: :Trouble with Daleks is they take so long to say anything. I'll probably die of boredom before they say anything."

The Doctor: “Times change and so must I. We all change. When you think about, it we’re all different people all through our lives and that’s OK. That’s good. Gotta keep it moving, so long as you remember all the people that you used to be. I will not forget one line of this. Not one day. I swear. I will always remember when the Doctor was me.”

Amy: “Raggedy man. Goodnight.”

Oh Amy, it was wonderful and bittersweet to see you again!  I know Capaldi will do a stand up job but Matt, we will always love you.  And with that, I'd like to show you my updated Tardis hoop.  I made a few tweeks and adjustments as well as added an option to add the St. John's seal (without the seal is still an option still as well!).

The Tardis hoop (as well as other Whovian paraphenalia) is in my Etsy shop if you're interested in having a bit of 'Who' in your house.  In the meantime, let the countdown to Season 8 begin!

In Darkness Trust

I recently started catching up on some blogs that I enjoy reading, and came across a blog post from Anna Maria Horner that really resonated with me.  It was one of those moments where you swear the author was speaking directly to you:

"I realized something about darkness and about myself.  If you're patient and you trust everything that you know, your eyes will eventually adjust to all that needs to be seen.  The rest falls away.  You will able to see just enough to keep from stumbling in the dark.  But it takes a little time.  Remembering where you are."

She's talking to my soul here, friends.  Seriously, read the rest of the post here (have a few tissues ready as well).  There are so many days where I feel completely overwhelmed and Anna Maria's words truly spoke to me.  

I need to trust.  Trust in God.  Trust that He is helping me make the right decisions not only for myself, but for my family and business as well.  Trust that when I make the right decision all of my doubt will fall away and everything will make sense.

Lately I've had my fair share of moments where I've either asked God for a sign for a problem or question I've had, or just prayed that I could seriously get His phone number and just chat all day about life, problems and how to make the perfect Peppermint Mocha at home (I've Pumpkin Mocha'd myself crazy and I need a break for a few months ...).

How do you trust Him or yourself in the middle of the darkness?

Change Is Good

It's been pretty busy here at the Casa Phantom Moon, and while this ol' blog has unfortunately been gathering a wee bit of dust, I've been busily working from sun up 'til sun down.  

I've mostly been gearing up to finally start becoming a full time illustrator if the stars align just right but I've also been crafting and creating new and exciting things for the Phantom Moon.  As such, I've had to shift things around a bit which means you may see things a little bit differently on the blog this month.  But don't worry, all change is good my friends and I hope you continue to keep me on your radar.
