Macarons Take Two

The other evening was relatively quiet in my house so I decided to take another stab at making macarons.  This time I think I nailed it!  Here they are:

Much more macaron like and less burgery, right?  I also added a little charm holder so these babies can travel if they choose to.  Do you like the new 'flavors'?

While I was snapping pics, little BB decided that she belonged in her pink Lego box, not her Lego's.  She had fun until she realized she couldn't get out and then kept saying, "Help!  I stuck!"

 

Every Day In May

I've decided to take up the Every Day In May challenge and "commit to create something every day in the month of May" ...

I don't know what it will be yet ... either a drawing (I love this but haven't made the time for it lately), do a little sewing, sculpt a bit, make a Lego castle with BB ... anything creative :)

Secretlicious Tissue Holder

I have a dirty secret ... my nose is a runner.  It doesn't matter if it's winter, summer, spring or fall ... this baby always has me on my toes and i'm swiping at it throughout the day with a tissue.  As a result I always carry a tissue with me. 

Now here's another dirty secret ... if my work outfit doesn't have any pockets (seriously, only one of my 'work' pants has pockets on the butt!) I tend to tuck my tissue in my sleeve which is a bit embarrassing when you're in a meeting and a tissue drops out of your sleeve.

My solution ... a fabric Tissue Holder!

I picked up this pretty fabric over the weekend with my Mom and Sister and am using the bulk of it on a project from this book.  There were just enough scraps to make this tissue holder.

What's so Secretlicious about it?  Well, when you flip this bad boy over his bottom reveals ... a 'secret' pocket for storing your current tissues!  This is the perfect place holder for my tissues if I can't hit a trash can during a meeting or if I'm out shopping with BB.

I just may make another out of some of my other scraps so I'll always have one of these Secretlicious Tissue Holders when one is in the wash ..
