As you know by now I've been having loads of fun participating in swaps on Swap-Bot. The last 2 swaps were no exception and had me cranking out some lovely plushies. Here are my latest creations, a sweet doll and her doggy.
It just so happens that I received the same partner for two separate swaps so I created 2 pieces just for her. Even though the deadline for the doll swap wasn't until November I thought it would be neat to get both plush lovelies out at the same time (after all my partner was sweet enough to tell me to send them both at one time to save on postage. what a doll! ;)
The pattern for the Scotty dog came from AllSorts. She offers free patterns on her blog that seem really fun and easy to make. While the design called for using felt, I had some furry fabric that I bought on sale from JoAnn's that I thought would work perfectly with this project. It was a bear to turn out but I like the final result.
As for the doll, I asked my partner if she had an preferences or if she'd it like to resemble her young daughter. She thought that would be lovely and told me her daughter loves the color blue and has brown hair and brown eyes. I hope she likes her! I added a cute headband and it sealed the deal.
I plan on adding a few small treats, packaging them up this weekend and sending them out in the mail on Monday. Another successful week of crafting!
Awww, they look so cute! You do great work!!

They're in the works. I'm ordering a small motor that sounds just like kitty's lion like growl when you get too close, haha.
