Oh Julie, you played a lovely Maria and I do so love the things you mentioned as well.  What else do I love?  Starbucks Peppermint Mocha's ... The Sound of Music soundtrack playing on my Zune ... Dove Peppermint Bark Chocolates .... and everything else this wonderful holiday season has to offer.

I've spent this week singing along with the Von Trapp's and enjoying the sights and sounds of Fall and the holidays.  I've even got BB yodeling at this point!

There's so much to be thankful for but for today, I leave you with my top 3.  Yes, it's a bit simple but these babies help me keep my sanity when I try and cope with what life throws at me.  So let's all take a breather this Thanksgiving to sip our Peppermint Mocha's, nibble on our chocolates and sing Edelweiss in harmony with our family members around the fireplace (singing is optional, but make sure you're ready Frank).

Yum, seeing this pic makes me want to make more and eat some real ones too.  Ah, the perils of crafting.  Anywho, BB was relaxing while watching Up the other day so I decided to break out my craft supplies and do a little hand sewing.  It was so easy and fun and BB loved them! 

The first morsel I made was the chocolate doughnut which seemed to be a wee bit to big for my little girl.  So I resized it a bit (using one of her little play plates as a guide) and made the second smaller doughtnut with chocolate icing.

I'm trying to decide whether she needs a dozen doughnuts or if I should make a healthy food to go along with these babies?  Hmm, a have a feeling she'll be getting 11 more itty bitty doughnuts before the weekend is out ...

In Search Of Dessert

Earlier this month, my Brother and Sister-In-Law have graciously offered to host Thanksgiving Dinner this year in their home.  Since they've planned out their meal already (I can almost taste the turkey already!) my Mom and I offered to bring dessert along.  While BB was busy napping this afternoon I thought I'd take a quick peek on my BFF's site to see if she had any suggestions for great Thanksgiving desserts.  And boy did she have ideas!

First pick, Pumpkin Cheesecake.  Yum, she had me at "pumpkin" ...

Apple Crumb Pie ... this would be fabulous with some Vanilla Fudge Ice Cream scooped on top...

Pumpkin-Chocolate Tart ... can you tell I love almost any dessert with Pumpkin?  Throw in some chocolate and I'm in heaven ...

Hmmm ... these are my top three picks now but I plan on searching some more tomorrow in case something else catches ma' fancy.
