Last week I had a few meetings scheduled outside of my office in the heart of Center City Philadelphia and had the opportunity to visit Christmas Village near City Hall. Luckily my sister works a few blocks away so I was able to meet her for lunch. We devoured a Bratwurst and some yummy German Potato Salad (we both ate for a total of $12 which is pretty unheard of in CC) and walked through the faux village. It was pretty neat to see all of the vendors and their handmade crafts.
We rounded the last set of vendors towards the back and low and behold, one stand was chock full of Matryoshka dolls! I've been meaning to get BB her very own but just hadn't gotten around to it. And if you can believe it, the one that I did like online happened to be there!
It was pretty inexpensive considering some prices that other vendors were asking so I pretty much got a steal and had a full belly to boot. All in all, I consider that a successful outing.
The wood is pretty delicate so I think I may hold on to her Kitty Matryoshka until she's 4 or so. By then she should be old enough to appreciate this little beauty. Or at least old enough not to wreck it within 5 minutes :)
New post! New post!!!! Love it! I can't wait to see what BB says about her kitty and mouse doll.

Lol, you may have to wait til she's 4 to get her reaction :) Stay tuned, my dear.

Yup, if it were easily replacable I wouldn't worry but since it's not ...
