Before J.K Rowling was a household name, my sister and I were riding the bus home one day when she showed me a book that she had just finished reading. This, my friends, was when I was still able to read in a moving vehicle without experiencing motion sickness. The book was about a boy wizard who's family had been murdered by a wizard so terrifying that even uttering his name was forbidden. I was hooked and quickly devoured her books one after another. I think at the time only 3 books had been released. Her husband (her boyfriend at the time) was just as in love with the books and we started a tradition of gathering together after the release of each subsequent book and reading amongst ourselves while eating fish and chips. Oh those were the days, my friends, when we didn't have responsibility after responsibility.
But I digress, we've all loved Harry Potter and his Wizarding World ever since that first day my sister introduced them to us. And while we haven't been able to gather for fish and chips for every movie that's been released, I did want to make something in honor of the first installment of the final Harry Potter movies. I present to you, Spells and Charms ala Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Now we Muggles can share a bit of the magic that brought Harry and his friends to life in words and in movies. And let me tell you, picking out which Spells and Charms to embroider was a tougie! I have more in mind that are currently being stitched so keep your eyes peeled before they disapparate (or sell out from my Etsy shop, lol)!
Thank you again, dear sister, for introducing me to Harry, his friends and the joy of our imaginations. And now dear friends, what are your favorite spells or charms?
I love these! And maybe we should do a fish n' chips the day that HP 7 1/2 comes out on DVD? We'll bring the food, you and your husband can provide the entertainment!! :) By the way, my favorite charm is the patronus and I think mine would be an elephant.

Stunning! I'll have to add these to my reading spot in the house or shoot maybe for work, you know i can use some magic there.
And you are so welcome for the intro, you know me if its a good book i'll keep pestering you until either you've read it or seen the movie and then i can tell all the things the movie people changes or left out.
I can't wait to see your next creations!

So glad you liked them! And thank you again for sharing :) I have you to thank for the Twilight series too but that's another discussion ... lol ...

I think that's a fabulous idea. As for the patronous, I think I would agree with our conversation the other day that it would be an Eagle. I still say mine would be a sloth, ha.
