On Sunday, I participated in The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education's Merry Making Craft Show. I hadn't been there previously and wasn't sure what to expect, plus this was the first Craft event that they had.
I am happy to report that Jenny Laden (Director of Environmental Art) did a fantastic job and the event was not only a success but so much fun! Not only did they have a nice mix of vendors but they also hosted workshops (card making, softie ornaments, wreath making and so much more) and my little worker bees got a chance to participate in them as well.
It really was a great experience and there were so many super customers that stopped by to chat, offer feedback on their favorite items and even place orders for custom items that I'll be working on this week. I even introduced a new Embroidery Hoop Collection that I'll be photographing and adding to the shop later on this week. Unfortunately the dreary weather we have today is making it a bear to photograph anything properly indoors but c'est la vie.
I met a few first-rate vendors like Kim Soles who made the prettiest little girl's dresses, once of which I scored for BB for Christmas. I know she'll love it since she can't get enough of parading around the house in her "Princess" gowns (they're really just princess pajamas but don't tell her, lol).
I was also lucky enough to sit next to another ace vendor, Virginia of Apricot Basket. She had some really great prints and cards, a few of which I snagged up as soon as the show started.
I'm glad that it was a fun and successful event, and I was able to connect to with so many fantastic people (and yes, even the little girl who made a beeline for my table, grabbed a fist full of birdy birds and ran like a bat of hell with them, lol). Hope everyone else is having a successful December as well!
