This is one of the many few times that, after watching this video, I wished I had a private jet. If I did, one of my trips would be to visit this fantastic duo in the UK. Seriously, how cute can these two get? And the fact that Betty calculates all the books figures in her head? It's completely swoon worthy for a gal like me that needs a calculator more than I can to admit.
Can I share a dirty little secret with you? Sometimes, I stay up real late at night and waste spend hours on end looking at pictures on Pinterest, pinning and re-pinning until I realize it's way to late and I'm going to regret it in the morning. And I sure do when I throw myself out of bed wake up and look like a zombie as I stumble to BB's room when she wakes up. Okay, more often then not I've been sending the hubs to wake her up in the morning but I digress. Pinterest is fantastic!
There are oodles of photos you can find which will totally stimulate your imagination. Take a peek at some of the fantastic finds I've pinned on this baby:
If you're a fellow Pinterest user, take a look at the other pins I've made plus some of the awesome followers and people I'm following. And if not? What are you waiting for! Leave a comment with your email (or email me) and I'll send you a nifty little invite.
About 10 years ago, I was introduced to the amazing work of Hayao Miyazaki. My hubby and I were vacationing at Universal Studios (after spending a few days in Disney World of course) and we decided to hit the movies which we often did back then. One of our movie choices was Miyazaki's Spirited Away.
Since we're both lovers of anime it was a no brainer ... we bought tickets and settled in with a big ol' bucket of popcorn, some Buncha Crunch and matching sodas. I was immediately in love with Miyazaki's style of story telling and his gorgeous animation, not to mention that the feisty Chihiro / Sen reminded me of my second oldest niece.
And now it seems that Miyazaki is giving us another treat inspired by the Borrowers. Take a look:
Via Wikipedia of The Secret World of Arrietty "The film tells the story of Arrietty, a young Borrower who lives under the floorboards of a typical household. She eventually befriends Sho, a human boy with a heart condition since birth who is living with his great aunt Sadako. When Sadako's maid Haru becomes suspicious of the floorboard's disturbance, Arrietty and her family must escape detection, even if it means leaving their beloved home."
As a lover of Miyazaki and The Borrowers I can't wait to see this movie! BB's birthday is just a few days after it's release so we're debating on whether to take her to see this or not, but you know Miyazaki ... there is usually a dark element or two in his films and this child of mine has a big imagination as it is. If we do see it I will share my thoughts for sure.
